I've searched the archives and found this to be a problem before, but in different contexts. It appears simple to reproduce on a Windows XP machine.
1) Create a wxGrid with columns set to drag-able. 2) Start dragging the width of a column and hit ALT-Tab (task switch).
This causes the assert.
